I would think that the electronics (wiring) and fuel delivery would be your biggest hurdles. Is the car or engine manual or automatic? The 69 uses a mechanical fuel pump at the engine. Is the motor EFI? These are some question I would be asking. 69camarokid 02-26-2007, 02:07 PM to answer your question the engine is the original 307...EWWW, haha and is backed by the also original turbo 350. JRs72RS 02-26-2007, 09:26 PM I have not worked on an installation into a Camaro, but we are in the midst of installing two LS1 in 57 Bel Airs. The first thing you will need is a wiring harness. There are a number of aftermarket parts out there to do this. You will need the ECM also. One of ours uses the factory computer, the other is an engine from Turn Key and has a much smaller unit that we are attemting to identify and source. Injected engines need a good source of fuel, for simplicity sake we used an inline MSD pump from Summit and a fuel filter for a 99 Corvette which has the regulator built in it. For trans we used 6 speed Tremec on one and 700R4 on the other. |
