Has anyone tampered with an engine swap in the V6 models, (mine is a 99 3800) meaning going to a V8, and if so, which engine, and how much this transaction would cost. I am no mechanic by any means, but it seems almost feasible to swap since the money I'll dump in to suping out the V6 engine will amount to putting in a more new V8. I understand other parts will have to be replaced to compliment the new engine. Any suggestions help. Thanks.

You will need the entire wiring harness, ECU, and Tans, also the radiator and all accessories. The swap can be done but honestly it might be cheaper/easier to just go buy a V8 car. Unless you can get a deal the motor and trans will run at least $4-6000 for a LS1 and that dose not include having someone to do if for you that is just the motor, trans and harness, unless you can do it your self
