I purchased aftermarket parts to replace the ones where i hit another truck in the corner right in the right headlight. No true damage but the aftermarkets didnt really match perfectly. I had off seams so i took it to a place to paint and fix the matching and they told me if you go aftermarket they never match up. So its still like that today I think you have to be really good at body repair to make aftermarket work. At least thats the impression i got.

I will say i think the guy that told me this is a moron, due to the fact that his business went out and the paint job he did began to really tear down after 2 years of use....i mean its bad. If i could get my money back i would. But what he said about aftermarket parts sounds....legit?

the front of these are not easy to line up. if anything is off just a little it grows as you go.

I have aftermarket parts and they fit pretty good. Not as great as the factory pieces, but still pretty damn good. You do get what you pay for but as Craby said, they are pain to line up. Pretty sure I had 4+ hours into just lining up all the front body parts and some still aren't perfect.

i was told when i did my front end conversion after a wreck by a body shop that does the front end conversions all the time an there all different weather i guy wants it done or a wreck ,an yes it takes alot of time working with plastic an fiberglass,he said oem or aftermarket there all a bish most important is quality parts takeing your time mine is not perfect but they hardy ever are as long as you dont have huge gaps ,an this was a shop that did alot of them too out CAL 4th gens, so if its just a fender or the whole front end ,takes time ,i know one thing from mine is some things that would make it easyer but not alot ,it takes shims washers triming the hood hinges in my case ?is what you replaced
