what is the easiest way to remove a starter?
my dad has a 94 3.4 and it has had recent starting problems. at first it would hesitate to start, taking a few tries to get it to. now when we try to start it, it just makes a clicking noise. i had the alternater tested and there is a new battery in there so that led me to the starter which is a pain in the *** to get out. once i have all the bolts off, where should i pull it out of the car because it looks to me like it will be tight getting out due to mainly the exaust that is getting in the way
thanks for the help

yes as pete stated and as i know from personal experience on my 94, there is no easy way. The exhaust must be dropped no question. I would suggest taking this to a mechanic if you do not have the proper tools to drop the exhaust, also if you do not have the exhaust properly tighten up and placed/aligned you will hear a constant vibration/ rattle that really plagues the ears during low rpms esp take off.
