The coil ohms test VERY rarely show bad unless the coil is complete shorted. If that was the case your car would only be running on 4 cylinder and would most likely not even start. It definitely would not move.
You could still have a bad coil. How old are your plug wires? Plugs, plug wires, fuel filter and air cleaner and all items that should be replaced after so long, If your not sure how old any of those are its time to change them
A cheap spark tester is the best way to check your coils. If it will fire a spark tester inline with your plug and wire then it is most likely not an issue.

when you unhook the battery you clear the computer and the adjustments it has saved. if you are not getting a ses light usually that means you have a sensor giving acceptable false information to the computer which makes adjustments based on the false info.

Funny you mention that. Mine does this weird thing were it misfires for about 10 seconds then goes back to normal. I was getting an evap code and a multi misfire before I tore my engine apart. It is yet to be completely put back together but I will post my results as soon as I get 'er running again.

Sorry I do not have time to reread the post, Common causes for vibration at idle would be.
EGR valve not seating. (this allow exhaust into the intake at idle)
Vacuum leak to a single cylinder (Low intake gasket would be the most common issue)
Dirty MAF sensor
Normally I would add dirty IAC but you car does not have one so dirty throttle plates?
It could still be a coil but I would expect that to miss under heavy acceleration at low RPM, (pulling a hill at 1800 RPMs)
I had a RGH idle about 2 years ago in my 96, I cleaned the MAF(with MAF cleaner) , I cleaned the EGR, I cleaned the IAC and then re-leaned the IAC and the car was fixed. Not sure which item fixed it but a word of warning, two weeks later the MAF sensor died. Set a code and everything. If I had to guess I would say the cleaning of the EGR was the fix and the 16 year old MAF sensor was not happy about being touched.
