Take @ look @ my garage an see my 1ST Camaro I JUST got. I'm in love with this 6er! I guess it's just that I see a vision in this car. I got it for $800.00 with 78K on it, a blown engine, three flat tires, breaks seized up an paper thin pads, clutch on the floor, while being home to several spiders and their egg sacks LOL! I like the fact that there are people out there that stand up and give 6er's respect, I'm one. Hey don't get me wrong, it would be nice to have a S.S. one day, and be able to pass "BLUE" down to my son. Till then I'm holding onto this car an loving it like it's a S.S. Name: Untitled.jpg

My 6er I love. It's my first car I ever bought and I couldnt be happier. I am glad we all support the 6 bangers.

I think all has been said already on the difference of v6 and v8 but the reason why I didn't go v8 was insurance. Outrageous high premiums for a daily driver.

I think we all share a common interest and passion and that is reflected in our camaros. True camaro owners know this in my opinion.

Amazing. People look at my sexy beast out in the driveway and always say things like this, what THEY don't realize... a 1967 Inline V6 'Maro they drool over at car shows and on Mecum Auto Auction hour via Velocity tv.... simply used to be JUST a 1967 Inline V6 'Maro.

American Muscle is American Pride.

Maybe I can't take my pony to the track, but... maybe it's just simply about having the pony?

Yes V6 get better gas milage but not by much heres the proof
Chevrolet Camaro Gas Mileage | MPGomatic

And no Im not bashing the V6. I have a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville 3.8 liter that has 205 hp and gets 16/26 mpg. I think the 3.8 liter II is one of the best most reliable engines chevy has ever built. So buy what you want. I personaly would rather have the extra 85 to 125 HP and lose the few MPG.
I get better milage in my Z28 than my buddys V6. I get about 28-29 on long trips. and about 15 around town. If you drive a v8 normally, the extra power actually helps you. mine is an M6 too, that helps the highway mpg

yes and if you baby a v6 you can get over 30 mpg, have one fellow on here that got almost 35 on a long freeway trip. i get 15 to 20 mpg. considered getting a catfish camaro v6 for a second car but thats as far as it got. now keepin an eye out for that nice 97 with a blown 3.8.

I do not baby my V6, Unless you call driving at 75-80 MPH babying it. As long as I don't get stuck in a traffic jam I can do 30-32 MPG across a whole tank in the summer. I am doing 23 ish around town. Those number drop off a bit in the winter. The great part about a V6 is cost. My total investment, Including the purchase of the car and every single part, even tires I have put in it is under $3500 in it. That is across 3 years and 70,000 miles. The 3800/5 speed is a Great Point A to point B car and ALOT more fun to drive then that econobox Sunfire I had.

At the time I bought my V6 the V8 car where 3X as much. No way could I have built and maintained a decent looking car and driven it for 70,000 for $3500. Heck I have that in my 93 V8 project and I am no where near done.

That's awesome. Thanks for this. I was a little hesitant at first to join a forum and "Admit" I had a 3.8 V6. But when I started digging thru the stuff here I realized people are respectful. Personally I love the V6 on this thing. 30+MPG if you keep your foot out of it on the freeway. and 200+ HP to boot? I'm Happy.
