how can a 3.4 have less horsepower and run a faster quarter mile? Same setup besides the motor right?

I would think that the more powerful engine would turn the better times, not the other way around.

3.4 weight , weight of 5.7 , then weight of an 3.8 is weird.. 3.8 are heavy... they are using cast iron heads right ????

I believe the 3.8L does use aluminum heads, but it is pretty piggish.

I swore it was at least as heavy as an LT1, but maybe it is in comparison to an LS1.

But, a 3.4 is all iron, so I can't see those given numbers being right, either.

I know what you mean.. I seen the 3.4 for 3250 , 5.7 for 3400, & 3.8 3400-3500... Something isn't right. If it is then weight deduction for 3.4 will be an very good idea

I havent seen anything above 3400 for the 3.8s. These cars are just so freakin heavy.

I've never met a 3.4 that could beat my 3.8. My ex had a 3.4 Camaro. We raced several times and I beat it every time. I let her drive mine and I drove hers since I'm a better driver, it was closer but she still took me in my Camaro.
