manual trans does not have a dipstick. to check gear oil you will need to get it up in the air, level and pull the plug off the side of the trans. stick finger in and see if the oil level is even with the hole.

Gotcha, just ordered the jack lifts and supports onlin, should get here in about a week. So I unplug the bolt with a wrench and stick my finger in to see if I feel any liquid?

Since you are new to the hobby it would help if you would do some research on you car. Like get something like a "Chiltons"or a owners manual for your car. Sorry if I may sound rude .but I`m trying to help you .in many different ways.A including there are many things you can do yourself.Instead of having a shop do it.(And shops aren`t cheap) From most of what I gather from visiting this site most of do.Good luck to you.
