Default Need help with fuel problem, new fuel pump

I have a 2000 camaro, 3.8l. The old fuel pump finally died on me 2 weeks ago.
Ordered a new fuel pump module and put it in yesterday, the car still didn't start, so I replaced the fuel filter next, but still no start. Sort of.

The car starts and runs when you spray starter fluid in it, but shortly dies after that. There doesn't seem to be much fuel pressure getting to the engine. Not sure what to do next, so any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks.

This was the fuel pump module: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-F...Q5fAccessories

What is your fuel pressure? Are you sure the old fuel pump was bad?

Not sure on the fuel pressure, going to check that tomorrow (weather hasn't been kind today).
Pretty positive the old pump was kaput. You could hear it kick on at all before. Then we put the new one in and you can hear it kick on just fine when you turn the key.
After some tinkering earlier today the new pump has started to make a different noise. Previously it made a lowered pitched pump noise, (just like the old pump when it worked) but now when you turn the key it makes the same low pitch tone for about a half second then makes a higher pitched tone until its done switching on.
It makes me think that something may be clogged in the fuel lines somewhere... There is no fuel pressure at all coming out the relief valve in the engine.
