Most test lights don't draw more power than 'noid (solenoid) lights and won't damage the pcm. The real reason for using a noid light is to avoid damaging the injector connector with a test light probe that does not fit. Noid lights usually come in a set with various pin sizes and spacing to accommodate connectors for each car manufacturer. Some high-end noid lights have an internal pulse-stretcher so that the light can be used at higher engine rpm without being too dim.

I didn't know that either until I checked the 93 service manual and noticed it doesn't mention use of the flash/jumper method for the V6. They only specify a Tech 1. The tip-off was that he reported the fan running.

Test light is made for this kind of testing not frying anything, deeper into it, after disconnecting injector harness and hot wiring an ejector or 3 shouldn't I see some loss of fuel pressure, or hear the inj pop or click, could they all be clogged from sitting 2 or 3 yrs, the stuff that came out of the return line was pretty nasty. and still it starts right up with a squirt of gas, guess I have find a code reader as the pin jump does not work on this model.

...and the answer is, rusted, busted, plunged injectors, question, is this $ 900, 200000 mile, needs paint and tires worth it? any cheap inj out there?

new injectors are about 200 for 3.4 http://www.discountbodyparts.com/cat...?dbpcid=bngpla im sure used injectors from a injector shop that have been cleaned and flow tested are even less.
