Hahaha I had a similar issue recently! Guess what! The brand new wires I bought from NAPA were broken. However, you in my case the wire was broken inside the boot that connects to the spark plug itself! I found out because I decided to take the wire off to check it and the boot stayed in my hand. The wire just fell. 2 wires were broken. Anyways I put the old wires on and voila! It worked!

So i put in the new wires and it ran god awful i bought a code reader it was 0102 which is MAF sensor. I took out the maf sensor looks fine checked the connector going into it and it looks fine car is running super rich my garage smelt like straight gas. It did get worse with the new wires and one of the lead on cylinder 5 was rusty so i sanded it off.

Have you tried running it with MAF sensor unplugged?

what wires did you get? are you sure you got the wires back on correctly, plugged in all the way and to the right cylinder spark plug? double triple check. it may be time to take the injectors in to be cleaned and flow tested. that cleaner may have losened something and jacked one of the injectors open or is sticking.

also check your fuel pressure. low or high pressure can cause rich condition.

I just cleaned the MAF nothing changed it seemed a little better. Still was shaking rough and missing the connections look good theres only one going to the maf and then one to the block they both seemed perfectly fine. I ran it without the maf in and it was still the same. I got wires from rock auto they were ACDELCO and it said gm equipment even though mine were delphi. I checked the positioning of the tires and pushed them all and they were in the right spots and fully seated. Should i pull the spark plugs what do i do with this im about to give up and send it to someone i just dont have the money for that .

If you put a code reader on and it gave a code for the MAF sensor, then you most likely need to change the MAF especially since it runs the same plugged and unplugged.

Well, you're fixing the issue one problem at a time. The wires were bad so it wasn't getting a signal from the MAF at all. Now that it is, you find out the MAF is bad. It makes sense because if the wires were bad it could of made the MAF bad by sending the wrong signal to the MAF from the bad wires.
