Thumbs up Met a Twin Turbo 3800 Camaro today @ Rockford, IL Hooters!

Met "Tease" from the Midwest F-Body Association with the 3800 Twin Turbo Camaro, with 3 in. true duals all the way back:
http://www.fquick.com/garages/Chevro...aro/2000/8173/
http://www.mfba.org/member.php?u=588

at Hooters Rockford, IL today:
http://www.chicago5thgen.com/suggest...day-8-1-a.html

475 rwhp running 14 lbs boost, due to be raised to 24 in the near future...

The car work was done by FLP:

Now, if we could just get someone to make a reasonably priced TC/SC kit for the 3800 Camaros, that would be nice...

Not a fan of turbos but WOW that looks great. I agree that we need a good SC or turbo kit for our cars. There used to be some out there but they died from lack of interest.

Pretty sharp Camaro! I wouldn't mind seeing a turbo set-up on mine.

You guys...what about the STS Remote mounted Turbo Kit? This thing is universal...mounted under your car with the exhaust isn't it? Someone look into it

http://www.ststurbo.com/universal_turbo_systems

The video shows the guys from Powerblock TV putting it on a truck. And I thought I heard someone say their neighbor put it on their Chrysler Sebring and it started destroying things.

That is a sick looking camaro with the TC. Would love to get one on my V6 but just can't see throwing that kind of money into it.

Default Universal mount turbo.

This thread has me thinking turbo for my car. There are a few things you cant have too much of. Money, fun, or you know what... This falls under the fun category. Do they make something like this for a 2000 Z28? I would prefer a Supercharger, but either one has its merit.

The only problem with putting turbos in our cars, especially the sixers. Is that the transmissions weren't built to handle that kind of power.

Yea, that's why FLP did this:

"Drivetrain:
FLT Level 5 Transmission, Strange 12 bolt with 3.73 gears"

http://www.finishlinetrans.com/trans...meDuty4L65.htm

http://www.strangeengineering.net/catalog/077.html

But the question is, what is the danger zone limit -- at what amount of power do you have to start worrying about this?
