Default idle issues

So when my camaro is running and you tap the gas the car revs itself to around 2k rpm and then after 5-6 seconds returns its normal idle of 800-900rpm. if your going down the road and push on the clutch pedal it does the same as when you tap the gas when its idling. if let the car coast and depending on how long I let it coast under power without a foot on the gas pedal it'll be anywhere from not revving at all to going to 1900rpm. it never goes over 2k rpm no matter what. and once the engine warms up the check gauges light flashes on and off. if you let the car coast in netural down a hill the tach jumps around from 1000-2000 rpm. but idling while stationary its fine after it 'calms down' I have no idea whats going on with it. any ideas?

check gauge light comes on when one of the gauges goes to a level that is out of the ordinary, like 0 oil pressure. what are your gauges doing when light comes on?

coolant temp: 195 oil pressure: 95-100 volts: 14-14.5 and gas is at 3/4 full.
I don't think the IAC or TPS is bad because the car never did it before I fixed my lower intake gasket. but I'm waiting for some new fittings and hoses to show up for the fuel pressure regulator and the map sensor.

Since manifold gasket was replaced, you might retorque the bolts.
Could be slight leakage and IAC/PCM makes up for it.

oil pressure 95-100? wow, either gage or sensor is bad or you could have spun a bearing.

its always run that and I don't hear a rod knocking. what should it be running?

I'll looking into retorquing the intake bolts.

ok, must be the gauge or pressure switch. 60 would be a happy number. lol. if its run for the long haul with no issues at this level i would not worry. might want to check on the oil pressure switch for signs of leakage once in a while.

my alternator decided to crap out on me so maybe thats why my camaro's been acting funny lately. I'll still retorque the intake though.
