fusible link for the ingnition

Default fusible link for the ingnition

please help me.
My camaro died like it ran out of gas.
everything in the engine has been replaced since.
no fire to the distributor
five mechs, are stumped
turns over but no fire
I was told by on guy to check the fusable link for the ignition but can't find it in the Haynes manual
any advice from any one please
I'm stuck

P.S. selling is not an option. it was a gift from my dad who is diing. he could have fixed it he knew everything about this car built it from scratch but is too sick and drugged up to conversate about it.

If no power at distributor, temporarily wire it directly to battery & see if car runs. What year car??
