Aftermarket Muffler and Exhaust System 1999
Hello to all,
New to the site. I was wondering if anyone might have some know-how in the muffler/exhaust area dealing with a 99 V6 Camaro. Flowmaster and MagnaFlow offer some pretty economical kits. How will just an aftermarket muffler affect the car? (Performance and sound). I understand its a V6 and so it wont resonate like a V8, but does it sound a little more tough? Thanks.

definitly sounds more tough, and it will add some HP getting rid of the restricted stock exhaust. my advice would be to do headers back exhaust from borla

hey i got a 99 v6 and i put a IMCO exhaust system. It with chrome tips ran me about 200. I think it sounds just as good as flowmaster, magnaflow and its cheaper. It sounds good until about 3000rpm and then it sounds like a v6. Before that its sounds pretty close to a V8. let me know what ya do
