Default 99 voltage drop issue

My 99 has a voltage drop issue. New Alternator, new tension pulley and new belt. However, when I turn the steering wall left or right or decelerate the voltage drops off and/or engine dies. Any ideas?

sounds like its in your column, wires behind the steering wheel could be shorting. could be ignition switch, its at the lower part of it.

The V6 cars have the alternator controlled by the pcm. Turning the wheel causes the p/s pump to load the engine more. When the rpm drops below a certain value (about 700 rpm), the pcm cuts off the alternator. Perhaps the battery is too weak to carry it over. Or maybe the IAC valve isn't working to keep the idle speed up.
