Hello William, first of all welcome to camaroforums. I'm going to reply to your question based on my own experience. I own two camaros one a 88 2.8 v6 and a 94 LT1. If you're like me and is comparing the 2.8 to a much larger engine given that both are in good running order then yes I'll agree that the 2.8 is alittle "blah". But overall my 2.8 is quite zippy despite burning oil and high mileage. Is your engine running OK under load? Is the check engine light on? Is the engine compression up to specs?

Thank's for the reply, yes the motor is running good and there is good compression in all cyl's...
It run's fine at idle but under load no power, like it is not getting the fuel it want's to run right.
Any thought's about this problem ?

Thank's Again

William, did you have this problem a long time? Has it gotten worst or the same? It could be a number of things but I think we could rule out an ignition problem because you did not mention any miss. When I first got my 2.8, the inlet filters on the fuel injectors were so clogged from crap it could barely run. The fuel filter did not stop the fine dust like particles. Dirty or clogged injectors will rob you of power. Does your check engine light come on? Take a look at ALL you spark plugs. They are a great tell tale signs of a lean or rich mixture which can add to lost of power. A plugged cat convert can also be a problem. Check your fuel pressure at the fuel rail. The test port is located at the rear of the upper intake manifold. If you don't have a fuel pressure tester, buying a basic one is pretty inexpensive from your local parts store. Try doing your basic test and post as much info as you can here because I've found on this forum, there are alot of really experienced and helpfulguys that can give you alot info. ALOHA
