Make sure that the bell housing bolt holes are lined up before tightening and get them all started before you tighten any of them too far. If I remember right, that was the hardest part...get the bolt holes to line up.

He just needs to remove the trans from the bell housing? At that point the fork should fall out. I don't think he needs to remove the bell housing from the engine. The younger version of me would not even use a jack just bench press that bad boy out and in to place. I have one in the garage if you need pics.

trans is back in... tomorrow i will put everything else back on the car. I believe the clutch fork is in.. i cannot tell 100% if it is under the bearing. but it is in the original place and with my hand i can press down on the circle where the slave cylinder would be on the fork and it feels springy. So i think i am good.

soo everything is back on my clutch is hard as **** lol. i made sure that the clutch fork was working properly by pushing it in with my finger multiple times and it looked good. Any ideas why my clutch would be this hard? i can push it down but it literally takes me stepping pretty hard on the pedal.
I did some digging and found a couple post about my problem seems to be the clutch fork needs to be moved down over the TO bearing

The ears on the end of the clutch fork should slide over the TO bearing. I'll see if I can find a pic.
Edit. Here you go. This has plenty of pics.
