Default Can I adjust my clutch?

Hey everyone. So as most of you know, I just had a brand new clutch put in my car. Anyway. A few months back I drove my buddy's Firebird and the clutch felt amazing. I figured that a brand new clutch like the one I put in mine would make it feel like his. Well I put this clutch in only to find out that it drops to the floor with hardly any resistance. I don't like it!
His is tight for like 2-3 inches and then drops to the floor. I love that feel because I can feel the clutch engaging. Mine, well that's a different story. My friend with the Firebird just told me that his clutch is a racing clutch. FML!!!
Is there any way I can adjust mine to make it feel like his? I was told I could adjust the tightness of mine...? Any clues?

There is no adjustment, but you may try bleeding the system.

If you have the T5 tranny, then there is a adjustment on the drivers side of the tranny right where the fork is. It requires a 5/16th allen head. Turn that in to make the clutch engage faster...or out to get her to engage slower on the pedal level. thats the only adjustment I know of. Sorry...not sure of the kind of tranny you have so...hope this helps.

I'm pretty sure it's a T5. Driver's side of the tranny eh? What "fork" are you talking about? Is this bolt hard to get to??

If its a t5 which I think they all were...then it will be on top of the tranny on the drivers side. You will be able to get under the car and see it from behind the drivers side front wheel. You will see it right where the clutch controls go to the fork..The fork is what pulls the clutch in and out bro. Just get under there and take a look...you wont miss it. No not hard to get to...or hard to do. takes less than five minutes too. Just gotta look to see it. It will be the ONLY allen head there...

So what exactly will adjusting this do? Make my clutch engage at a lower point in the pedal? Or?

I did it on mine and it made the engaging point different...but mine is a 86. BUT it has the t5 tranny. And while the v8 tranny I "heard" had a different bell on it, I would still bet on there being that adjustment on it.
