Default Adjustable or Non-Adjustable Front CRs

Good morning everyone. Well, I'm in the process of collecting some car parts so come spring time, I'll be ready to roll with the upgrade of my '95 Z/28's suspension. Anyway, after a huge hassle of trying to have my mechanic upgrade my factory springs/shocks to the Bilstein Shocks and lowering springs I bought from Strano (that's a story in itself), I just decided to do the work myself and replace the whole assembly. Well long story short, I need to replace the shock mounts due to excessive rust.

I know OEM is typically what people recommend to go with if possible, but between Moog, Master Pro, KYP, or Rare Parts brands (all from O'Reilly's), is there a shock mount you guys would recommend as a alternative to the OEM ones? I was thinking Moog, but wanted to check with everyone to see if you've had better luck with one kind versus the other or not. I know this has been asked before, but I didn't find a very good definitive answer on my last search.

Also, since I'll already be taking some of the front suspension apart, do you think its worth replacing the front upper and/or lower control arms or is one better to replace than the other? Since I'll be putting an approx. drop of 1.2" on the car, do I need adjustable front control arms? If so, what kind would you recommend - rod end, roto-joint, etc? This car is going to be mainly used as a "daily driver" or autocross vehicle.

I really appreciate the help, thanks!

Thanks for the help in advance!

I used Moog on my '93 with no complaints. If I ever do them on the '97 that I sold to my friend, I'll be going Moog again.

Stock control should have enough adjustment for 1", but you'd be better off talking to Strano or BMR/UMI and asking. At the least, I'd do the bushings

Sounds great, I appreciate the help! I have an email into Strano, just waiting on his reply. We'll see what he comes back with...

Looking to start installing my new shock assemblies and with that I got new ACDelco dust boots and bump stops. The instructions that came with the ACDelco stuff are garbage. In the attached photo, is that the proper way everything should be installed? With the bump stop sitting inside the dust boot?

Thanks again.

Yeah I had to buy all new as the Bilsteins from Strano are "bare" shocks and my factory components are junk.
