Power window doesn't roll down after replacing window motor
Hi there,
My passenger side window was moving sluggishly and then finally stopped working in the up position (thank goodness). I though it was the motor, so I bought a replacement and installed it. During the test, before I mounted the new one, I noticed that the motor worked by pressing up on the door switch, but not down. The same goes for the switch on the driver's side door.
So the problem wasn't that the motor failed, but it couldn't roll back down. I am not sure where to go next. I'll mention again that the roll down switch on both doors did not get signal to the window motor.
Thanks!

ok, im not as up to speed as i should be on the 97-02. heres a link that you can download a wiring diagram for your year. can also download the factory service/shop manual, fb99 folder would be the one that is pretty much like yours. i believe the windows on the 99 go through the body control module, bcm but that usually also effects other parts of the system, like the radio.
