Default Passenger door speaker

I have a 2001 SS. My passenger door speaker is bad. I can not find one online. Does anyone happen to have one or know where to get one? Would appreciate any help. The part number is 9361859. It is for the monsoon system.

Finding a replacement will be difficult. I suggest looking at eBay for a used one, otherwise you will have to find a substitute. Since the door speakers are 2 Ohms, even a substitute may not work well if it isn't 2 Ohms as well. If nothing else, you can replace both door speakers with 3.2 Ohm versions, but then you will have to offset the Fade control to keep the sound balanced front-to-rear.

Take a chance on this one maybe (?) should be the same part: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1993-2002-Po...3D361564086257

By the way, under no circumstances try to peal off the screen from the front of the speaker or you will destroy it. Examine the speaker only from the back or by carefully cutting away the screen with a razor blade.

Cool. Thanks. I think I will go with this one from ebay and give it a try. Another person mentioned a set on Amazon,

CL 61CV.2 - CDT Audio 6.5" 2-Way Convertible Component Speaker System

but they are $179.00. They look like they would work as well but a lot more money.

I actually need both of the rear speakers and the passenger side drivers door. was thinking on replacing with aftermarket but wasn't sure how it'll work with the monsoon system. Any suggestions?

By rear speakers, do you mean the ones next to the rear seats (a.k.a. sail panels) or the ones under the hatch? I think the ones next to the rear seats are still available.

Good luck in finding 2-ohm speakers.
If you decide to go with another ohmic value, change both front speakers and adjust Fader for compensation.

You should be able to get 3.2 Ohms speakers just about anywhere. I tried them in my front doors and the balance control was way over toward the rear side, so I searched and found used 2 Ohm ones. It is possible to rebuild speakers if only the voice cone or surround is damaged, the most likely scenario. Kit are usually under $20 each for new surrounds but it does take some expertise to be successful.

AC-Delco Speaker Repair Foam Edge Kits

I believe there are companies that will do the work for about $60-$100 each.

p.s. The site I linked says not for monsoon speakers. I ordered a pair and never got around to installing them. I will see if I can find them and where they were bought.

Here it is: http://www.speakerworks.com/foam_sur...izing_s/63.htm
I got the 6" "JBL" foam surrounds # SWK6JBL

I think its the rear speakers, not the sail speakers. i think(haven't checked) but think the foam surround is deteriorated.
