Another Body Control Module Question
I'm having a problem with my RH door lock on my '98. I can unlock it with either button or the remote . It would not lock with either method. I got another module from a 2002 and that seems to be the problem with the lock as they both function with the buttons. I knew I would have to reset my remotes but I cant because the security light stays on and the engine wont start. Apparently this unit also senses the key chip. Any idea if this unit is resettable to match my key or does anyone have a diagram of the module that shows what relay is for the RH door lock? Thanks in advance. Dennis

The BCM has to match the key's pellet resistance (1 of 15 values). To keep using the different BCM, you would have to make new a new ignition key with the matching resistance value (find by trial and error). Or bypass the key with a matching resistor spliced into the wiring. The BCM cannot be reprogrammed to change the value.
The relay for the right hand door lock is #4 and is the one on the other side of the circuit board in this photo with the letter E (matches the pin designator on connector C1). It is a Panasonic/Aromat JSM1E-12v-5 and can be bought here:
Ultra Miniature Automotive Power Relay JSM1 12V 5 AJSM631 255 1240 JSM1E 12V 5 | eBay
You can verify this yourself by tracing the circuit from C1-E. It only goes to that relay.
