So am i able to just take tge old key with to the dealer or locksmith? Also when i was using the tool to decompress the lock plate, it wouldnt compress so i took it out and under the spring theres is a nut or something that was holding it back and it bent and is no good... Is it called the lock plate insulator? And also any ideas on where to buy one?

I took a pic for anyone that might be able to tell what this is called? Like I said it is behind the spring for the Lock Plate, and as i was compressing you can see it got a little caught up. Thanks

Alright so its called the upper bearing inner race seat, would you happen to have an idea on where to purchase one? I've looked at RockAuto, and the GM parts Online and no luck.

Actually before i order the keys i was looking them over and the ones im looking to order have the chip on one side, whereas my original key has it on both sides. Does that matter?
