Updates and records of my car.

The link you posted sounds like it's a stud replacement for the main bearing caps inside the housing, which I'd say is a bit overkill. The two big nuts on the cover tighten down to put pressure on the main caps to help keep them seated. You would be fine using just them.

Okay, contacted TA Performance over the phone;
Their website has been messed up for quite some time apparently. You can just get the actual part numbers for what you want off of there, but you have to call in everything.
So, got my stud kit and gasket. It'll be home Friday, then we'll see if I have a whole working Camaro maybe by this weekend.

Got the new drive shaft installed. Father reports that things are feeling MUCH better with that under the car now. He's getting the rear end parts installed at a differential repair shop in Tallahassee this next weekend. That should get the shakes worked out.
Next up, I think we're going to take on getting either a new transmission installed, or rebuild the one that's in it. Is there any reputable site we can order from to get either a rebuild kit, or preferrably, a place to order a built tranny to drop in?

Sounds good, I'll probably end up with their Lv1 transmission then, I'm not going to go near 500hp with this car, so that's plenty.
With their torque converters, should I just buy one from somewhere else, or is what they offer fairly reliable?

I guess I'll also look for a ratchet shifter for it while we're doing this. It's kind of novelty, but I do like the concept of it, basically being able to shift it when you want, sue-do manual or whatever.
If you have a link for someone who offers those, I'd like to check it out. I'll look around here on my own for a bit though
-double edit-
Yeah, scratch the ratchet shifter/manual kits. Looks like there's no good way to keep the automatic function in the tranny, while having manual control to ratchet shift on your own. With the way it reads to me, it looks like I'll either have a straight-manual, have to shift it on my own 24/7 tranny, or one that will still shift on it's own at high RPM's.
I'll leave it alone with that for now. Maybe later I'll do a manual conversion kit.
