Default Tranny Mount: Solid vs Hydraulic?

I'm looking at a possibly bad tranny mount (3.8L with 5 speed manual). If it needs replacing, what's the difference between a hydraulic mount and a solid mount, other than one's cheaper? Is there any specific reason to go with one over the other?

poly mount will transfer vibrations really bad. why not a stock mount? should not be an issue with the 3.8 unless your doing some 4k clutch drops. not sure on the hydro mounts and how or if they transfer vibrations, u have peaked my interest though and when i have time will be reading up on em.

I just looked up the part on Autozone and saw that they have two different types listed. I didn't even know there were different types of tranny mounts until today, LOL.
