Do you know what gears you have? Do you want to match them of get a higher ratio? In my area yard hounds tend to strip Z28s pretty quickly. No one has mentioned traction control. Does your car have it? I researched it in the past but I forget, some rears single speed sensor and some have two for the ABS.
Yard hound= is a guy the goes to a u-pull-it lot for the sole purpose of pulling stuff to resale.
Used posi rears with the disk brake system sell for about $300, if you can find them you can get them at a u-pull-it lot for about $125. Nice profit for a few hours work. The heads and fuel injection systems are the first to go the rear and trans are next. These guy show up with a trailer and will strip a "fresh meat" Z28 of everything sellable.

I have the 3.23s, It would be nice to find something with a higher ratio, but I've heard the 94 computer can't be tuned to compensate for the different ratio.
Nope not traction control, so I know I'm looking for a 3 channel like mine. Hopefully there aren't many yard hounds around here. Finally getting around to looking for a rear because mine is making enough noise for my wife to be able to hear it...and that means it's on borrowed time because she doesn't have an ear for mechanical issues.

well, no luck...there was one possibility but after inspection the bolts holding the lower control arms to the rear, as well as to the body, were rusted to hell and short of an impact wrench, which i dont have, were not going to let me have it....so much for pulling it myself.
i did find another one though from a "not pull it yourself yard", $450 comes with all the brakes and lines i think 123,000 miles on it from a '98, seems worth it to me, im going to look at it today. lets hope its in good shape

It does not have traction control, I have an appointment to have it installed on Thursday. Once it's in I'll post any and all differences the shop tells me about. From what I've researched on the topic there really should be no difference. I don't see there being any issues, the rear should bolt in exactly and I don't see any reason why the brake lines that came with it won't connect right up to everything on my car.

only thing that may need changed or adapted is the connection at the body where the flex/rubber line from the rear end to the brake line. between 53 and 36 here http://shbox.com/1/brake_pipes_rr.jpg

98-02 is 4 channel abs, the rear brakes were also never design to work with the 93-97 drum/rear disc 3 channel system. FYI the 98-02 also have bigger rear axle hubs, so you'll need to grind down the the center of the wheels to fit, if your still running stock wheels. had to grind down my 01 ss 10 spokes to fit.
