Default Rough idle, rough acceleration, smell of gas, backfire

I have a '94 3.4L & about a week ago my car started backfiring real bad, riding & idling rough. It's got a strong smell of gas. I was thinking maybe my coil's have gone bad, I checked the 3 of them, only 1 was bad, replaced it and it's still doing the same thing. I don't really want to play a guess game and replace parts until I eventually get the right one. I'm thinking now it maybe O2 sensors. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

check your fuel pressure. low pressure can cause flooding which can cause backfire in the exhaust pipe. it is coming from the exhaust correct?
