Default 4L60E help

My car quest is still in full swing and found a 1994 LT1 Camaro with 110k miles on it for 1200 bucks but needs a new tranny
with the 4L60E idk what if there is any difference in the these trannys if there is any? thanks so much!!

4l60E is the standard tranny for the automatic LT-1.you can find them in some other v-8 gm cars and some trucks

So Just look for them in the V8 Trucks and Cars?
V6 4L60E wont work?

certainly.was just saying that is the typical tranny.

is basically an electronic version of the 700r4 tranny

V6 trannys will not bolt up. They have a different bellhousing.

A v-6 tranny will certainly bolt up if its behind a chevrolet motor.only bolt patterns that are different are behind the buick,olds,pontiac(BOP)engine blocks.

NOPE. A Chevy V6 (2.8, 3.4, 3.8) bellhousing is a smaller bolt pattern, and they're not all the same amongst themselves either. It will not bolt up to a V8, unless it's from a 4.3, which is the only V6 that is the same pattern as a V8.

I stand corrected.wasnt thinking about the 3.4 and 3.8.did know the 4.3 would.my bad
