im pretty sure that is where... but im having a little problem the Gm key that i got will fit into the igniton but wont turn... im starting to think that gm cut the key wrong? because my blank key that i had them copy the pattern fits and turns the igniton on but obviously wont start the car because of vats. so i got a gm key that had the correct vats reistance and the pattern and it wont turn once i put it in the ignition?? did the dealer cut my key wrong?

a small piece of the key thats sticking out and catching on things. sometimes when they grind it it leaves pieces hanging.

ok so i havent gotten the time to go back to the dealership but i found a way to put the gm key into the igniton and try to start it. i put the blank key in and turned it a little bit just past the lock position took it out and put the gm key in. I got the same result a blinking security light and i also got a clanking noise from the passenger under dash?
