P0441 Trouble Code
I keep getting a P0441 code -Evaporative Emission Control System Incorrect Purge Flow . So far I have changed the gas cap, the evac solenoid, purge valve, and finally the vapor canister. Checked hoses, replaced worn ones that I could reach. Never a hint of vapor, but the code does not go away. I have the air vent hose (center port off of canister)that is not connected to anything should it be? Am I missing something easy? Is there a way to bypass the entire system to make it go away?

did u test any of the things u changed? u will need to test the wiring to the solenoid to make sure the computer is seeing the system working. did u make sure the hoses were clear of any obstructions? open both ends and blow air threw. also need to plug one end of hose and put a vacuum tester on it to see if its leaking. heres some reading for ya. hope u can find the issue.

Ok, I found a brittle hose towards the front underneath drivers side area by the oil pan. Change that out and smelled vapor for a day or two. Vapor went away but code 0441 came back on. The only item other item I have not changed is the Evap purge vacuum switch. It is hard to reach to test voltage but I will try that this weekend...

Mechanic ran a smoke test and it was leaking above the fuel tank. he siad the fuel tank needs dropped in order to get to it. I am kind of leary paying big bucks for a possible loose hose. Is there another way to access this or ways to bypass the vapor canister so I can pass the next emmission test?
