I noticed when i got gas tonight that the filler neck on my 99 SS Camaro is a little loose. You can move the filler neck after taking the fuel cap off about a 1/4 to a 1/2 inch(somewhere in there) up and down(not in and out), is that normal? Does it have a steel filler neck or rubber hose type? I figured it would be steel since it is fuel injected and thatyou wouldn't want to take any chance of loosing pressure. Just wondered if this means the filler neck is maybe loose at the weld at the tank??? Any ideas? Please post any idea's or comments, thanks

 

There is a clamp at the tank. I would check it.
