New to me Z
Well I made the plunge into the LS world today. I picked up a 2000 Z28 off of Craigs list. After driving my 1996 with a 1/4 million miles on it, wow this thing is tight. I bought it from the original owner. It was a middle aged women. They where asking $6500 for it. The body had a lot more dings and scratch's then you would expect for 45K. She parked the car outside at her dads place of business for several years. When I started to ask question about the maintenance she knew nothing, lol Her Husband said hop in, we drove right to the local dealer. He get out, they knew his name. He said ask them we just do what they say. They showed that as of 6 month ago everything was up to date, But they did tell me there was a air flow code last inspection, they cleared it and it has not come back.
Because of the scratch and code I offered $5500 we settled on $5700. I didn't steal it but I am happy
Course I still have the project 93 it is going to be giving up all of its SS parts and rims

The project 93 is a LT1/6 speed Z28 made to look like a 2000 SS. My 96 is the V6. Yes that mean I am now the owner of 4 Camaro.
I plan to swap over from the 93 Z28.
Seats (the 2000 has the original vinyl and it is cracked and brittle)
Rear spoiler
Hood
Alum drive shaft
All the SLP decals
Moonson radio? (my moonson has a built in CD this has a cassette with the changer in the back)
From the V6
32 mm Sway bar.
Once I am done the fire sell will begin. I will have a 93 project Lt1 6 speed for sell and good running high miles 3800/5 speed

On the Camaro, I did the mobil one oil and filter upgrade and I went over the car. I was freaking out when I started it this morning cause it had a slight tap then I remembered the piston slap issue. It went away in about a minute if idling.
Its is going to need Cats. They rattle slightly when you bump them. Looks like a complete exhaust upgrade is in my near future.
Yep first auto Camaro since 1990.

I am thinking about a donor car I found 1995 orange z28 .graigs list $800.00 still runs ,not shifting into .3rd.,thing is where I live ,while this time of year I have the room in winter I would not,i should get it just take every part I need ,I also seen .96 v6 blown .engine 500.00 is what they give for scrap car ,I am thinking about it if I can find one close there out there every where ,compared to ebay graigs list has a lot more as its free to sell ,a friend got 98 .corvette 50.000 is sweet I think that was ls1 motor.there like 200.camaros within 200 miles around me 93 to 02,that seems the way to go for a desent used car or a donor
