Lug Removal

Lug Removal
So when working on installing my new wheels, I found that the thread on one of my lugs was messed up. Fortunately, I had the rear axle from my old sixxer sitting around. I took a couple of lugs out of that one, but then when I went to remove the bad lug from my Z28, I found that the hub has some sort of splined ring (I believe it's for the ABS) behind it. It's close enough that even after I hammer the lug out, there's not enough clearance to remove the bold. What do I have to do to remove it?

Thanks, Craby, but apparently the 96-97 cars had a particular traction control system that required what's called a reluctor or tone ring, so here's what I'm looking at:
From what I've gathered from other places I've asked, I definitely will have to remove the axle shaft.

So the studs aren't going to rock sideways enough? I'd grind back part of the reluctor gear then. As long as you don't go to the point where the pickup probe extends (you can see it falls short), it won't affect the signal.

What I ended up doing is removing the axle shaft, then popping the reluctor off (it was just a press fit). Put in the new studs, put the reluctor back on, put the shaft back in, good to go. I just haven't put the diff cover back on yet because I painted it last night.
