I'd like to see how the LS1 is performing in longevity. Everyone talks about how they run and run forever, but I have run old small blocks forever also.

If you broke, something major that required engine work, not like losing a coil or broke the serpentine belt, use the part about breaking.

If you have just put on miles and still haven't broken, then put in the miles you have gotten to without breaking.

I broke mine on a nitrous pass when it went lean. Not really the engines fault. But when I took the motor apart the journals looked new and the crosshatching was mint looking.

 

One of my dad's LS1 Vettes has a little over 100,000 miles and it still runs great. He doesn't really beat on it though. If its not in the garage then he either took it to work, or someone took it out for the night or something.

 

I can't believe that only 4 peope have voted on here. Is that all the LS1 Camaros that are on here? I just picked up an '98 today and hoping that the mileage people are getting are much higher than what is being shown.

The reason I was trying to find out was so that I didn't buy one and find I had 10,000 miles left in it. There is 129,000 on this '98.

I've seen several put 175,000 or more on the Corvette LS1. There is even one guy that claims to have 300,000 miles. So while 129,000 is a lot, it should last awhile for me.
