Identify this coolant leak
Okay so I noticed my Camaro has had a slow loss of coolant for the past couple months. I haven't tracked it down but I do see coolant dripping from the front of my bell housing. My initial thought was possibly a lower intake gasket. So I pulled the engine apart down the the heads. I did not remove the heads. Replaced the upper and lower intake gaskets. This didn't solve my issue. Does this sound like a bad head gasket or possibly a bad freeze plug? Does my engine even have a freeze plug in the back? Where could this coolant be coming from?!? I have to add about a gallon of water to it every week. Also i might mention it tries to overheat unless my rpms are above 2000 and unless I'm moving. I really don't want to pull the heads on this engine being that it's my daily. What do you guys think?

There is a "freeze out plug" at the rear of the engine which is covered by the bell housing. May want to try some stop leak before taking things apart. If one of them rusts out you might as well go ahead and replace all of them.

weep hole water pump a guess, does your water light come on ,then shut off then come on ,some thoughts, when mine leaked it ran to the back,if you don't have water in the oil that's good ,but a small leak wont be noticed very easely. only that different things happen, with mine it was the fans comeing on when it was cold water light on an off ,for me it was after a burnout ,2 water pumps ,then found I had very small head gasket leak in the back, look for white condensation from exhaust after its hot ,or let is run with radiator cap off after about 10 minutes i had a geyser of water all over was another indication, but it was a head gasket an I drove it for near a year that way adding water ,
