I bought but did not install yet the power stop Street Warrior setup rotors pads and Stainless hoses all from Rock auto. It is tuff to beat rocks prices wit their 5% off and no sales tax. At least in PA. Stainless steel brake line is just for show as is the holes in the rotors. Flushing your brakes fluid is worth every penny. Time kills brake fluid not miles.

Rotor warping can be cause by hard driving even in a single day at a road course. GM told us that 75% of warped rotors comes from uneven torque of the wheels. It is still heat that causes the warping but the uneven torque causes the twist when it cools. Course that is warranty repairs. After you get your new setup make sure no one ever put your wheels on without a torque wrench. Impacts are fine for taking lugs off and maybe spinning a loose nut up until contact.

If you are on a budget I have been told by a couple of weekend racers that the Duralast gold rotors hold up as well as many of the performance rotors. These are guys that go through a lot of rotors. Avoid cheap rotors, even without hard driving or heat warping I have seen the casting start to crumble after less then 2 year and 20K miles. They may look good new but casting defects are very common.

that makes ence old brake fluid I guess but I still never hear of any one needing roters first time around, guess you do drive it hard ,? who are you raceing an what with your v6 ,that can cost $2000,00 an right straight to jail hear in NH ,my days of that are over to many things to break an lose like my licence ,I think that's one thing they don't talk about street outlaws ,scripted with all those lights how could no one see them raceing ,there letting them do it in these remote locations nearest I can figure ,like the dung beetle beating a hell cat last week, they don't talk much about when guys lose there house an wife licence ,pretty much everything some guys will do to street race,i had lost my licence for 4 years one time an don't want to ever lose it again

Yup,my brake fluid is green for some reason,I have replaced a few pints but will do a good flush when I'm done. The front rotors prolly are fine I bought in case, plus I think they are warped some, even tho car ride to work with new backs was big improvement. I haven't raced anyone yet but am dying to race a new v6 camaro,I'm 600 pounds less and with my new tires I can practically boot it and I take off without spinning tires, another advantage, but I'm down about 125 hp so I think get passed by 50. I'm no means reckless but what the heck we do drive hopped up camaros, don't tell me you're just doing it cuz it sounds cool. I like getting sideways,I like booting it ,it's a rush ,but I try to keep it with in reason. I'm not clicking down thruway at 117 like the guy on fb,but getting up to speed ASAP ,do that all z time.

I torque all bolts, especially lugs,it was critical with my cobalt, going down my big hill commute it would warp fast if over tight . I think newer rotors are just thin,my 81 has no problem with the hill, drum brakes in back

well I got to say that now that I had 6 years beating on the lt1 an got away from many tickets I should have had,the wreck last year does make me want to just enjoy driving a hot rod around town ? I know its going to be hard couse I have been known to get a lead foot when I dont think ,sounds like you are getting there ,I am going to have to lose many red light runs ,oh last year this guy in a truck wanted to race me so bad ,I am glad I did not react as he got pulled over after we left the light ,he took off like a bat out of hel l ,I drove away at normal speeds ,they were sitting off to the side an seen his motions to me to race ,don't know what happen to him ,but I get more trucks that weight 2 X what I do ,as I am down about 200lbs an up over 100hp from the lt1 ,but they still think they can win ,I just let them go after that seen ,where I live they know the car an know me as respectful driver ,so I just want to keep it that way ,+ I want to keep my rear end in one piece until I get it built up

so was it the antilock brake system causing it when it pulses? rear control arm bushings may be lose. need a 300 lb buddy to shake the rearend while up on the rack and see if you can find the lose place.

My pulse went away when I did the back brakes, the pads were real low and e brake was jammed up on one side, rotor didn't wanna come off. My bearings are suspect, they both were tight but both make a wired clicking noise,I left them in,not sure. Funny,406 ,I got most my tickets in my ford escort gt on way to work,I loved that little car!
