HELP!!! with rear gears
Have a 2000 Camaro Z28 with factory 2.73 ratio and traction control.
Rear bearings are bad, rear gears are bad, we opened it and looked.
Question: Will V6 2.73 gears fit into my V8 axle housing?
I need the gas mileage as I am getting it together for Hot Rod Power Tour next month.
Many thanks,

all the rear-ends from 1993-2002 models can be interchanged with little difficulty. traction control will be an option on some, as well as a posi, and the type of brakes.
You can probably scoop an entire rear-end for less time and $ than rebuilding yours. i got a temp rear-end from Hawks $250 shipped out of a ws6 t/a for my camaro while I was rebuilding the factory one. I was lucky that it was all the same components as my car so it was a direct bolt-in.

My Camaro has both traction control as well as posi.
The rear axle from the V6 car has NO traction control and NO posi.
My concern is that my onboard computer will not accept the V6 axle configuration.
