Honestly, I wasn't certain that LT1 headers matched up perfectly to a gen 1 sbc. I don't answer if I don't know, but good to know for next time. Keep in mind you're only about the 3rd person on this site who has "old schooled" their 4th gen, so the number of those who would know what works/fits isn't that great.
As far as your dissatisfaction about nobody jumping on this one for you, I'll make sure you get a full refund on all the consultation fees you paid up to this point. lol

Like Camaro 69 said, there is simply no way to be sure. There is very little clearance on Lt1 headers. For us to say they will fit would have to know every detail of the fabrication involved. If the motor got shifted to the side or raised slightly then the headers would not fit. Heck I have read about guy having problems with fitment just because the motor mounts were worn out. Many of the guys that convert from v6’s end up making custom headers because the motor is not sitting in the same place as the LT1.
If we say they will fit and they don’t we are idiots, if we say they won’t fit and they do we are idiots. I am pretty sure I told you when you started this project there are no manuals. Just about everything from this point out will be trial and error.
You still using the stock rear? Stock rears can be broken with a lot less torque then what you have now. Even a stock LT1 can do it. Think real hard before you go out racing.

now like night an day ,got 65lbs oil pressure water temps ,throttle responce before that it was a dog, with old y pipe an manifolds, feels like I released 50 hp+ ,shifting down to 2nd an stay around 2500 rpms seems easy ,got to turn up the idle today at about 900 to 1100 ,its a screamer now ,nice to finaley feel the power of the 406,only thing is the paint burns off right away with black headers , oh well ,still much better fo the engine ,I don't feel as much heat comeing from under the car ,its like it was all being locked up in the old sytem,I think the only thing that is just a bit louder is full bore ,from single chamber, yes they are kinda low to the ground .I will have to avoid speed bumps .around hear not to many ,will work on getting them up another inch or so when I add tips ,but yes true street rod now
