Header install- need advice!

Driver side manifold, second to last bolt is extremely rusted, Tried turning it once and its rounded. I could cry like a baby right now. I sprayed it for 2 days 3 times a day with PB blaster. Gonna get a bolt extracting socket tomorrow.. What size are the stock manifold bolts anyways? 14mm?

time for a torch

heat that bolt

let it cool a few minutes then heat it again

the expansion/contraction might be enough to kick it loose when you put a wrench to it again

My vehicle has always been a FL car so rusted bolts aren't really an issue

This car has never left SC, and what is weird.. the only part that is rusted is where the bolt is and around the bolt.. WHY?? Such BS.

What are the chances of fire after spraying it with so much PB blaster

It broke flush with the engine... what now

Specifically, on the driver side, second to last bolt..

one bolt only?

are you absolutely sure that it's flush? You can't get pliers onto it?

unless you have air tools, or perhaps a Dremel, can you get a drill bit into it? Bear in mind that the bolt broke in the cylinder head which is aluminum, not cast iron.

Here is where others may raise their eyebrows and say "huh"?

is it ONLY 1 bolt?

you bought Percy's correct?

Since the last bolt hole is fine, you'll be OK and won't have a leak

Percy's are that forgiving and you'll have enough pressure on the entire header that it will be sucked against the head even with that ONE bolt missing.

If you can't get a drill into there, then the only other option (other than ignoring it thanks to Percy's) is to remove the cylinder head and do you fee like getting a new intake man gasket, coolant, some head bolts and gaskets? If you do one you may as well do both. You'd need to remove the head and intake manifold.

If it were me, I'd say a prayer to St Percy and install with 7 bolts vs 8.

Yeah its only the one bolt and its flush, almost perfectly flush. & I think I am going to say a prayer to St Percy!! lol

Girlfriend was helping me pull the exhaust out, broke the temp sensor on the drive side head.. Is this a good replacement? ACDelco has always been reliable..

I cannot remove the steering linkage/knuckle for the life of me. I removed the top 11mm bolt, removed the plastic cover on the bottom, removed the bottom 11mm bolt, and I just cannot get ether end off.. tried hammering it, PB blaster.. nothing

i undid mine at the shaft clamps.
