Is there any reason not to use the sock/sleeve style plug wire heat shields? The old beat up ones are getting replaced when I do the plugs and wires this weekend and the sock style seems to make more sense than un-insulated metal.

Update: sorry it's been so long. A lots been going on with my car and life in general the past few months but the project is mostly back on track now. I'm having an ongoing issue with getting the hp and torque gauges set up in dashcommand, if anybody can provide any guidance with this it would be greatly appreciated. Somehow I doubt a stock 3800 is hitting a 298 hp peak.
