Hard start. Maybe fuel?

Biggest line (3/8) is your feed line. The smaller (5/16) is your return line. There's another one on the pump for the evap. It's either 5/16 or smaller, I don't remember exactly. Did you replace the fuel filter as well? And did you use fuel injection hose and not regular rubber fuel hose? FI hose runs ~$8/ft vs regular fuel hose that runs ~$5/ft

Nice thanks and Yes I used the fuel injection one. I did put a fresh filter on as well. The weird thing about that is now both ends of the filter are male ends where the originally was female one side and male the other. Since I had to use a filter that wasn't specified for the car I'm not sure if that would make a difference. I tried to match it as close to oem as possible

I swapped out the recently installed pump with a new one, replaced hoses on all the lines. The car fires up good now. IT did last night as well but i didnt want to open my mouth until i tried it again this morning. Guess i may have installed it wrong or the pump was bad. Thanks all for the help!

Just so the OP doesn't get mislead... lower octane will hurt engine performance (timing retarded via the knock sensor), if the engine requires a higher octane.
But octane level has absolutely nothing to do with his hard start or a no start problem.

It says on the dash just use unleaded fuel but I do understand the gradual damAge cheap gas can do over time. My car is stock still so I figured 89 isn't too low in grade and too high in price. I def will be on that 93 baller level soon lol thanks again gents

I would not use anything less then 93 ,an like craby now that I have high performance engine I run octane booster ,anything less can couse valve knocking an premature wear ,your lt1 is a high perforrmance motor an it says it in the hand book an say not less then 91 on a rainy day ,I use 93 in everything it has a better shelf life to .oh my 2005 mercury sable runs fine on 87 , it was a high performance for those years an still is to me
