Default Trap door size''

I cut my trap door today following the measurements off LS1 Tech website and ended up with a larger door than i needed. The measurements were for a 1997,my 1999 fuel pump is about 6 inches further back than the 97.Its no big deal my hatch is a little bigger.
If I was allowed a redo I would do what the the guy with the red 2000 did only I would make it 3/4 of an inch narrower on each side.

yes it was further back even on my v6 car ? hows it running now

It's running great now!! But I have a new problem with air shock installation which i'll probably start a thread on.

well I have them in my 95 so far not to bad but need to put air in them every few weeks once a month ,one choise is copper lines an pump that is hooked to a switch ,I also had one friend said with the nylon cheap tubeing one can empty all the air out ,get the big tire can of fix a flat put it in then top off with air .I like mine at 80lbs ,he said instead of every 2 weeks its like every 4 months he puts air in them ,I have been tempted to try it worse case is run new copper lines ,wich I will probley have to do one day anyway

I'm contemplating putting green tire slime in them. My main problem is there is only 11/2 inches between the air supply fitting and the body on each shock so the line has a tight loop just where it enters the shock. I wonder if I could get away with spinning the top portion of the shock an inch? I doubt I can spin the top because it is an air shock?

Smile Shocks

I got them mounted with the valves pointed in towards the driveshaft.I found adapters on e-bay for $45&$7 shipping that will probably work.I'll go to the hardware store tomorrow & see if they have the same stuff cheaper,i'll probably have to remove them to install the adapters.The adapters will provide a 90% angle for the tubes which i'll run straight down from the top of the shock towers.

yours did not come with a kit for one valve tubeing fills them both ,don't know if I would try slime ,it does not dry the way fix a flat does ,mine are just monroe air shocks $59.00 with the kit ,confused ,all you should need is air shock hose kit an one valve right under the bumper is how mine is set up ,just have to make sure you tie off in the right spots up around the tank $14.00 ebay,but a lot of guys put in copper lines couse they wear out the cheap nylon lines ,mine holds good at 60lbs but not at 80lbs wich is all the way up pretty much ,for like $20.00 for copper lines an fitings an $40.00 pump with switch is the way I may go,so when they go low hit the switch done 5 minutes later there full again a few times a year ,or just the lines with flat fix

Yes it did come with Monroe's lame installation kit which would have worked if they had included 2 90 degree fittings for connecting the lines to the shocks.I'm sending the Monroes back as there is only 11/2 inches of space between the line valve and the body of the car.I can't get the lines on proper with that little amount of space,I'll throw on some Gabriel hijackers tomorrow as the line valves point downwards and will be easy to access.g
