Fuel filter?

Fuel filter?
Does anyone know if a 1999 Camaro LS1 has an o-ring on the fuel filter? I had a shop change my filter 4,000 miles back, the car runs fine but recently has been stubborn about starting.I'm planning on changing the fuel pump as i'm suspicious that it's part of the problem. The car had 60,000 mi. on it when the filter was changed.
I just wonder if that shop lost the o-ring and that might be the cause of low fuel pressure?I did find one place that sells an o-ring for the fuel filter, but I don't know if it is supposed to have an o-ring in the first place?
Also does anyone have any opinion of Delphi fuel pumps quality?
Any and all opinions would be treasured.

should be a oring on the quick release fittings. if there was a problem with the oring you should have a fuel leak. the line from the tank to the engine is under pressure.

Thanks for the reply Craby! There are no leaks , so i'm gonna change the pump.
I'm leaning towards trap door method as i'm old & handicapped.
What is your opinion of trap door method?

every one does it ,unless there is a reason to drop the tank ,an when you do it just put some sheet metal back over it nice an some self taping screws silicone if you want ,its been done to both mine ,on my 95 we covered it with sheet metal like said ,then one can easly get to it later ,on my 99 3800 someone cut all but the back section an left it like a trap door with a tiny latch holding it down ,does not affect anything with the cars .gm could have done it ,but why make anything easy ,yes ,there is a thread hear shows the measurements, just be careful to not use to long of screws ,just long enough to go through the metal

Fuel pump
Thanks for the help everyone! I did a pressure test and with key on/ engine off it only goes up to 10psi.& immediately falls to 0 when key is off. Then when i start it idles at 56psi. immediately falls to o psi. when i shut it off, I think the fuel pressure regulator is in the tank?
So i guess it's time to get out the saw and make a hatch to the promised land.

Check valve in the pump went. It keeps fuel in lines/rail to help with easier starting. Still have to replace the pump to fix that. Do key on/off three times with pressure tester hooked up and see what you get.
