Fair price for 1999 z28
Going to be selling a 1999 Z28 auto trans hardtop, very nice shape, only about 60,000 miles and always garage kept. I think Blue book was saying something like $6000 but a quick look at trader there were a bunch on there for more like 10-12k. What have people been getting for these with low mileage? Thanks much-

What people ask and what people are willing to pay are not always the same. With more common cars your local area can be different. Remember you are not a dealer. The dealer can get more for a car because in many cases the car will come with a 30 day warranty of some type.
Around me a 99 automatic with 60K on the clock would be closer to $7500 ish assuming a clean car faxs and a nice condition. It might not sell right away but I think it would sell. To hit the 10k area it would need to be SS or a M6 to hit the 12K area it would need to be both.
The area you live in can effect the sale price. Supply and demand. These are not high end cars so people are not traveling across 3 states to get a good deal like they used to.
One thing you can do is check ebay completed auctions and limit it to 100 mile around you zip code. If you are not in a hurry start high and drop the price every 7 days or so.

Very helpful answer, just trying to get an idea where to start. It is quite literally the sports car a nice old lady drove to the store once a week. It almost was an orange SS but didn't work out that way. M6 would have been nice too but she didn't like to shift. Thanks again for the input!
