Coolant Temp Sensor?

Coolant Temp Sensor?
Hey all! In the last 2 days after starting the car, 5 mins go by and the rad fans kick in and the service engine soon light comes on. Of course the car isn't even warm yet and the temp gage is reading a hair over 160. I'm thinking the coolant temperature sensor in the water pump needs to be replaced. I'm just running it by here first to see if anyone else had a similar issue? Thanks!

Anytime the SES light comes on, the radiator fans immediately come on as a means to protect the engine. Its just the standard programming with these cars. You need to find out what the reason for the SES light is, have your car scanned for codes and fix it. Once you fix whatever problem is causing the SES light to come on, the fans will return to their default programming.

Well, it was the fuse for my secondary air pump. I replaced the fuse and so far so good, but I know there's issues with the pumps in these cars. If it happens again I'm just going to disconnect the pump. Yes, jumping pins 5 and 6 won't show the code but it puts the car in field service mode and resets the codes.
