Default Coolant Leak.. help

Hello, 1st time here on the forums. I was hoping someone can help me diagnose a small coolant problem I have with my 95 V6 Camaro.

A day ago my engine overheated. This was at night and when I got home I let it cooled down. This morning I went to check the coolant and it was empty both in the rad and res tank. The cap and drain plug had very dirty rust color coolant.

I did a flush and a lot of gunk came out. I re-attached the hose and ran the car on idle and after 10 min the temp was in the red. There was no leaks coming from the rad nor any hoses. However when I took a look under the car I saw a leak that appears to be coming near the tranni.

Can anyone tell me was could it possible be? A gasket, cracked engine block? I've included some pics that may help you guys tell me the problem.

Back of the intake or the freeze plugs in the back of the motor. Pressure tester and flexible shaft camera would make figuring out which a lot easier. Lift would help also. Might just need to pay a mechanic to check it out for you.

I had to replace the freeze plugs on my 94. The water came out as fast as I could put it in. Just make sure they are sealed if you have to replace them, before you put the flywheel back on. I had a heck of a time. Finally had to use some sealer too, because of the corrosion on the block..

is it running down the outside the trans or from what looks like inside the front of the trans? one would be intake or possilby heater hose leaking by the heater core but outside the firewall. two would be from the soft plugs which are on each end of the block so coolant would come from behind the flywheel and look like its coming from the front of the trans.

is your rad cap plastic? the factory one I had was plastic and over time it cracked. then I replaced it with a metal one which u have to push down and turn like a medicine bottle to open. a cracked radiator cap can also ooze coolant down to the other parts.

I had a 5 spd. trans. I could tell it was coming from the inside. If you know you have soft plugs in the back of the block instead of the metal freeze plugs, that could be your problem

one things for sure does not look good or sound good ,? did this just happen all at once ? were you .checking fluids regularly ,the biggest couse is not checking the fluids like once a month or more as well as air in the tires preventive maint on these cars can save the life of the car ,anti freeze is the biggest one leaks of any kind, could be the lower hose.if it all came out ,you will be lucky.if that was it
