Default car lacks power with heater or ac on

ok I got a 2002 Camaro 3.8 I bought it a couple of months ago and I put a new mas sensor in it because it was sputtering at lower speeds. car runs a ton better still has a slight hesitation at take offs. anyways if I try to drive the car with the ac or heater on and im driving about 40mph or slower or every time I have to stop and go car has very little power and does not want to run it surges and hesitates very bad. basically if I roll up to a red light or know I have to stop I go ahead and turn it off so the car will have power to go again. makes no sense because car is awesome unless im trying to drive with heater or air on... all tune ups have been done and new fuel filter.. any suggestions...??? thanks..

sounds like the compresser is going south, try unplugging it.

thanks' craby I will try that tomorrow after work.. so im assuming the ac compressor helps run the heater side to?? would that also maybe cause the slight surge/ hesitation at take offs to without the heater or air on to? thanks

When the heat is in the defrost position, the AC cycles to remove interior humidity. So yes, a locking up compressor could be the cause of both.

I've been running a ebay compressor and accumulator kit for almost 5 years no issues.

+100

I can't recall the brand but it was an active seller who carries lots of AC stuff

Even with my 30% discount at advanced auto the Ebay compressor, accumulator and exp valve was $100+ cheaper

When a friends Mitsubishi had the compressor go, we found one on ebay for $75. Come on, $75???? It worked great and continues to work and it was reman'd
