do you know if your shocks have ever been changed? They should be changed around every 50k miles I believe, so they could very well be shot if they are original or were replaced 70k miles ago.

The rattles that you are hearing could also be a loose torque arm, loose shock mounting bolts, broken sway bar links, worn bushings in any position, or broken exhaust hangers. This is not the full list just the common suspension and under car related rattles. Also check in your spare tire location to make sure the tire, and jack are tight also look to see if the amp is still attached to the framework inside the wheel well.

your car dosent have struts

but the shocks could be the makers of da noise.. its about the onlt thing that can make noise unless a coil spring is broken and u go over monster pot holes

Remember it is an 11 year old car. Things are going to be worn and some are going to be good still. Most of these cars have been driven hard so worn parts are not uncommon. The list may be long but none of the repairs are really all that expensive.

well im kinda lucky with mine. i bought it from an older lady that bought it new and she garaged it most of the time. so the only hard driving is from myself. and i dont think I'm too bad on her lol. but i talked to a guy that always comes in the parts store and he checked it out and ya im ordering some new springs. this weekend ima do the plugs n wires. get it up and in shape for this warm weather
