Default crack in door

there is a crack in the fiberglass on my driver side door right at the edge of it...is there anyway to fix it without replacing the whole door.

If you're talking about the outside door skin, then that can be replaced and isn't too expensive to have done.

had that happen with my first z28. buddy of mine has a body shop so i stoped by and asked him about it. he gave me some leftover windshild glue/sealant and said its really sticky so be really carefull and get some in there and clamp it down for awhile. well i found me a small stick at home and worked some in the crack along the edge. being very carefull not to get any on the outer paint. (never thought to tape it) i then put a clean rag on some spring loaded clamps (that i found on sale a while before and had to have) and used them to hold the panel in place while the glue set. now i didnt think i got enough glue in there but it held till i got rid of the car almost two years later.

its right there where the door shuts right above the handle but on the edge and the fiberglass is cracked straight thru probably about 2 inches long. if that made sense. someone told me that i need to replace the door because once they started cracking like that you can't do anything about it.

You don't need to replace the whole door, the outer door skin is all that needs replaced. It's just stuck on to the door frame with glue. It's not hard to replace if you got the tools.
